A tailor-made faculty for everybody

The DOBA Faculty is an independent higher education institution and is a part of the Doba Business Group. It is a private business faculty providing to all ambitious individuals high-quality, practice-oriented bachelor programmes in Business Management, Marketing and Business Administration, Organisation and Management of Social Activities and master programmes in International Business Management, Organisation and Management of Social Activities and Management of Lifelong Education.

Milestones in the development of the DOBA Faculty

  • 2002 – Preparations get underway for the launch of the 1st cycle higher vocational Business Assistant programme.
  • 2003 – The Council of the Republic of Slovenia for Higher Education approves of the formation of the new college (Decision No. 1/15-2003 dated 12 December 2003) in December 2003.
  • 2004 – The higher vocational study programme Business Assistant is accredited by the Council of the Republic of Slovenia for Higher Education (Decision No. 2/223-2005 dated 13 January 2005) in December 2004.
  • 2005 – The first generation of students is enrolled.
  • 2007 – The Council of the Republic of Slovenia for Higher Education approves of the proposed name change of ‘College of Business Maribor’ into ‘College of Business DOBA Maribor’ (Decision No. 1/8-2007 dated 17 December 2007).
  • 2008 – The 2nd cycle master programme in International Business Management (Decision No. 2-161/2008 dated 5 may 2008) and the 1st cycle bachelor programmes in Marketing (Decision No. 6033-3/2008/9 dated 29 September 2008) and Business Administration (Decision No. 6033-4/2008/11 dated 15 December 2008) are accredited by the Council of the Republic of Slovenia for Higher Education.
  • 2009 – The 2nd cycle master programme Organisation and Management of Social Activities and the 1st cycle bachelor programme Organisation and Management of Social Activities are accredited by the Council of the Republic of Slovenia for Higher Education.
  • 2010 – The 2nd cycle master programme Management of Lifelong Education and the 1st cycle bachelor programme Management of Lifelong Education are accredited by the Council of the Republic of Slovenia for Higher Education.
